Skirtings and mouldings
To complete the great look of your wooden floor, Tarkett offers a wide selection of accessories – you can be almost certain to find the perfect match for your floor.
Since wood is a living material you should always leave space – an expansion gap – of 1.5mm per metre width of floor or a minimum of 8 to 10mm between the floor and thresholds, pipes, steps, fireplaces, stone floors etc. The expansion gap is hidden by using skirtings, mouldings or pipe collars. Tarkett Combistar profiles
are an innovative new product in the Tarkett range. The transition profiles are available with a genuine wood veneer surface and are fitted very easily. The mounting rail is screwed down and the profile is fixed onto it. This leaves room for great flexibility and adjustment in order to make a perfect fit between surface and profile.
Clipstar veneer mouldings
are available in a great number of wood species. The clip system is extremely user-friendly: the mouldings are fitted easily by being mounted on the clips that are attached to the wall separately.
Matching surface finisher
No matter whether your wooden floor is treated with Proteco Lacquer or Proteco Natura you can find matching profiles, mouldings, stairnoses and pipe collars.
Useful installation equipment
Tarkett installer trousers
They are fitted with knee pads and 10 pockets. Floor installation becomes both more comfortable and more practical since you can fit all the tools needed in the pockets of various sizes.
Tarkett indoor hygrometer/thermometer
It is a very important factor for a successful installation.
Humidity and room temperature must be right if you want to prevent your new floor from warping. The hygrometer is therefore a very useful accessory.
Tarkett floor hammer
It is a new tool that makes the installation of floors with the Ultraloc locking system even easier.
This tool will substitute an ordinary hammer used with a tapping block.
Tarkett underlay material
It is another but equally important accessory. Tarkett’s underlay materials are both durable and absorbing. Most of them are even underlay and damp proof membrane in one.
